MacBook battery died? Don’t consign your computer to the rubbish heap just yet. Our MacBook Pro battery replacement service is fast, fairly priced, and usually completed on the same day. And we’ll even come and pick your computer up from your home or place of work.
When you buy a MacBook, you buy quality. Unfortunately, the solid build and aluminium case come with a payoff. They aren’t designed to be opened by the owner. And that means, when the battery reaches the end of its useful life, you’re recommended to return the whole computer to your nearest Apple store.
Official MacBook Pro battery replacement is costly. And if you don’t live near an Apple store, it can can take several days to complete. We use the same quality batteries you’d get if you paid Apple premiums for your MacBook battery replacement, but our service is much quicker and much cheaper.
The integrated battery in a MacBook is designed to be replaced only by qualified engineers. Like us. But unlike branded options, we live and work in your area. And, also unlike official Apple replacement services, we can complete your MacBook Pro battery replacement when you need us to—whether you live around the corner from one of our shops or not.
In other words: we’re who you call when you need your power back on today. Not tomorrow, or early next week, but right now. Our engineers are friendly, professional, and polite. And they’re available in the evenings, and on weekends too.
Officially, your MacBook battery needs to be replaced by a centralised Mac repair shop. This is the case even if you bought it in a third-party store, like John Lewis, and return it there for a MacBook battery replacement. Average time for your replacement, if you don’t have the flexibility to make an appointment at your local Genius Bar, is 3-4 days. The average cost varies depending on location.
If you can’t take your laptop into a store to book a service, you will have to arrange for a courier to take it to Apple, and return it to you later. And that means time, and money, wasted. Or, you could send your MacBook to us. And have it back again on the same day, power on and ready to rock.
Don’t like the idea of posting your laptop back to Apple, with all its data vulnerable to the eyes of whoever’s fixing it? Don’t worry. Our MacBook battery replacement engineers are happy to sign non-disclosure agreements with you, or any other form of security documentation you would like them to. And while we still take your MacBook away to replace the battery, you get the peace of mind that comes from meeting your engineer, talking to them in person, and going through the security process wth the person who will be working on your machine. In other words: we’re transparent. We’re real people. And we take your security as seriously as you do.
As long as you’re in London, we’ll replace your battery. In fact, we do MacBook Pro battery replacement at all locations within the M25 boundary. And we’ll even come and pick up your machine, from wherever’s convenient. If you live on a farm on the outskirts of Uxbridge, we’ll drive up the track and meet you in the sheep-field. If you run a small business from a co-working space in Shoreditch, we’ll pop in and see you at the cafe. And we’ll do it at a time to suit you. Even if that time is late in the evening, or first thing on a Sunday morning.
We don’t believe in messing around. And we certainly don’t believe in messing our customers around. The bottom line: when you need a MacBook Pro battery replacement, you need it as soon as possible and you want to pay as little as you can. We make both of those things happen. And we do so by cutting out all the unnecessary steps in the battery replacement supply chain. Like sending your MacBook off to a third party repair shop. We don’t do that. And we don’t send it back to you in a branded lorry, which costs the earth to run and can’t get up the track to your farm, or the side-street to your office.
Our pricing is as simple as our service: you pay for the replacement battery. Which, by the way, is a quality, approved Mac spare. And which is guaranteed for a year. And you pay for the work we do. You’ll notice the difference on your invoice. And you’ll have your MacBook back when you need it.
And that’s that.
Look at the battery indicator, on the top right of your MacBook’s display. If there’s an ‘X’ in it, or if the indicator never reaches 100% when the power is plugged in, you’re in need of a new battery. Some MacBook models may also experience the ‘jumping cursor of doom’: a cursor that randomly moves to different parts of a document, or even starts deleting text when you haven’t touched the trackpad.
Quick draining of the battery without a power cord attached is another sign that your MacBook is in need of a battery replacement. On Macs running older versions of OS X, you can click on the battery icon to determine the condition. If the status is: replace soon, you’re a candidate for our MacBook Pro battery replacement service.
Recent versions of OS X allow you to view the cycle count of your battery. Cycle count is the number of times your battery has been completely drained and recharged. Modern MacBooks are fitted with batteries that are expected to last for up to 1,000 cycles, so if yours is nearing this number you should be on the lookout for the other signs listed here. You’ll find cycle counts, and other battery health information, by clicking on ‘System Report’ in ‘About this Mac’ (found when you click the apple icon at the top left of your screen).
