Computer Repair in Central London
Laptops, PCs and Macs repaired across the WC, EC, W1 and SW1 postcodes
Central London is where a lot of our weekly work goes. Offices in Holborn and the City, agencies around Soho and Fitzrovia, residents in Marylebone and Pimlico, the odd hotel concierge calling on behalf of a guest whose laptop died on day one of a trip. We’re across all of it, most days of the week.
If your machine has crashed mid-deadline, your MacBook screen is cracked, or something got spilled on the keyboard at lunch, get in touch. We come to your office or your flat, work out what’s going on, and give you a straight answer on whether it’s worth fixing and what it’ll cost.
Where we cover
Central isn’t really one postcode area, it’s a stitched-together patch. Here’s the actual coverage:
Boroughs: City of London, City of Westminster, plus the central edges of Camden and Southwark
Postcodes: WC1, WC2, EC1, EC2, EC3, EC4, W1, SW1, plus parts of NW1
Neighbourhoods we go to most often: Mayfair, Marylebone, Soho, Fitzrovia, Bloomsbury, Holborn, Covent Garden, Strand, Paddington, Westminster, Belgravia, Pimlico, Victoria, Knightsbridge, the City, Clerkenwell, Farringdon
If you’re in N1 or N7 (Angel, Islington proper, Highbury), our North London page covers you. The line between “central” and “north” gets blurry around there, so when in doubt just send a postcode through the form and we’ll sort it.
Not sure if we reach you? Drop your postcode in the quote form and we’ll confirm.

Pricing
Common repairs have a fixed price – screens, batteries, hard drives, virus removal – and we confirm the cost before any work starts. For less predictable jobs we work at an hourly rate, also agreed upfront. There’s no premium for a Mayfair or City address. Same prices across all our London coverage areas.
We come to you, no callout charge
There’s no extra fee for callouts in Central London. When you get in touch, we send the nearest available engineer, and in most cases we can get someone to you the same day or next day. You pay for the actual repair work, nothing else.
The engineer will diagnose at your office or flat and, where possible, fix it on the visit. Most software issues, virus removals and a lot of hardware swaps are sorted in one trip. If something needs workshop time – a motherboard repair, a screen with a part that needs ordering in – the engineer will explain that, take the machine away, and get it back as quickly as the parts allow.
If after the diagnostic it turns out the repair isn’t worth doing on a machine that’s near the end of its life, we’ll say that too. No point charging you to fix something you’d be better off replacing.

What we typically see in Central London

Liquid damage (a lot of it)
Cafes, lunch meetings, shared desks, the pint someone bought you at the pub. Liquid damage is one of the most common Central London callouts. Speed matters more than anything else here – the longer it sits switched on with liquid inside, the worse the corrosion. Don’t try the rice trick, it doesn’t work. Get it looked at the same day if you can. More on liquid damage repairs.

Cracked MacBook and laptop screens
Lots of MacBooks in central, lots of commuters, lots of bag corners. We replace screens on every MacBook generation, and on Dell, HP, Lenovo, Asus and Acer laptops as well. Screen replacements are usually a 24 to 48 hour turnaround once we have the right part.

Slow office machines and virus clean-ups
A laptop that took 30 seconds to open Outlook six months ago and now takes five minutes is a daily productivity tax. Virus and malware removal plus a proper clean-up usually fixes it the same day. We can do this at your desk, or remotely if you’d rather not have someone in the office.

MacBook battery and keyboard issues
Swollen batteries, sticking keys, MacBook Air or Pro that won’t charge past 80%. We do battery replacements and keyboard repairs on the full Mac range, and the quote is often a fair bit kinder than the Apple Store one.

Desktop PCs in serviced offices
Plenty of central offices still have a desktop tower humming away under the desk. Desktop repairs happen on-site too, no need to drag anything across town. Won’t turn on, freezing constantly, lost data after a power cut, we handle all of it.
Drop off, or have us come to you
For most Central London clients, a callout is easier than getting a laptop across town. But if you’re already heading east for some reason, our workshop is in South Woodford on the Central line. It’s at 96 George Lane, E18 1AG. Opening hours and directions are on the South Woodford page.
